    Santiago Cabrera, who along with Luis Miguel Cordero, is accused of poaching two horses and butchering them for their meat in Florida, will undergo neurologic and psychological testing to determine his competence to stand trial for the crimes.

    National Equine News : OREGON - Wandering horse causes two crashes

    Two people were injured during two separate but related crashes Friday night after a horse wandered onto Highway 99W south of Junction City.
    According to Oregon State Police, at about 10:18 p.m. a white Pontiac driven by Jack Lee Gentry, 59, of Harrisburg, was southbound near milepost 111 when it struck the horse.

    In July, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) began rounding up more than 1,200 federally protected wild horses on public lands in Nevada. The use of helicopters to run terrified horses over miles of scorching desert resulted in serious injuries and the deaths of more than 20 horses.
